Sivasspor Technical Director İsmet Taşdemir has detailed his new season goals and the team's future plans. Taşdemir explicitly linked his continuation in the role to the current president, Burak Özçoban, remaining at the club.

The coach of Trendyol 1. Lig side Sivasspor emphasized their ambition to build a team capable of competing for the championship next season, aiming for at least a top-three finish and securing a play-off spot.

Speaking to an Anadolu Agency reporter, Taşdemir revealed that this is the first time in five years that he and his team will not be part of the play-off excitement. He recalled leading his previous teams to play-offs and play-off finals in the last four seasons, even winning a direct championship last year.

"Unfortunately, for the first time, we will not be in this excitement," Taşdemir stated, attributing this to their late start in the season and the numerous injuries that severely hampered the team's performance.

Evaluating his tenure, İsmet Taşdemir noted that they managed to secure 7 victories in 13 matches for a team that had previously won only 7 games in 24 matches. However, he acknowledged that this performance was insufficient to qualify for the play-offs.

Taşdemir was clear about his plans for the upcoming season, stating, "I came here with the current management and president. I am very clear; if our president is not going to be here, I do not intend to be here next season either. If President Burak is here, I am here." He added that he would terminate his contract to clear the way for a new management if necessary.
