Sivasspor board member Çağlayan responded to allegations, recalling the club's difficult past and its current situation, emphasizing their efforts to overcome challenges. Çağlayan noted that the club had faced similar difficulties in the past, pointing to the challenging period in 2004. At that time, he worked alongside Ali İzgi, and together they made significant efforts to help the club recover. Çağlayan stated, 'In 2004, we were together with Ali İzgi. Sivasspor had stayed in the division that year. We made great efforts during that process, and Sivasspor's rise to prominence became a topic of discussion.' Additionally, Çağlayan argued that most of the criticism on social media came from individuals who did not contribute to the club. Emphasizing that the board members had no financial expectations, Çağlayan said, 'I received phone calls early in the morning. They asked, 'How much money do you earn?' I replied, 'Are you asking in euros?' Çağlayan also highlighted the board members' intense efforts for the club's future, saying, 'My friends and I are making significant financial sacrifices. We travel everywhere and hold meetings.'
